Destashify/// November Haul

I’m back with another little haul from Destashify! I am working with this brilliant store as an ambassador and every month will be sharing you my haul and makes using second hand fabric purchased from this site. For today’s post, I was kindly gifted $50 to buy what I wanted and I can’t wait to show you what I got.

But first, let me remind you of last month’s post. I haven’t sewn up that pattern yet (but if I can squeeze it in, I do think it would be a great dress for around the holidays!) but I have made something out of the beautiful wool suiting I picked up.

Another pair of Bisque Trousers, this time in the wide leg. I love this pattern and after making it up for my fall capsule, I couldn’t get a wide leg version in this fabric out of my head. I have a little bit left over that I might be able to eek some kind of vest out of, which I think would be amazing for spring!

I made the straight size 8 again, no adjustments, and this fabric sewed up beautifully. Now that I’ve got the pattern down, I can sew these up really quickly.

For this month’s haul I picked up three (very different!) fabrics.

First this knit that I was hoping would match a scrap of tie dye knit I have. I’m thinking of putting the two pieces together and making some kind of cozy sweatshirt, either for me or my daughter.

I loved the colors of this cotton and will make some kind of top out of it. I don’t know if I ‘need’ another Patina Blouse, but it would look beautiful sewn up as that!

And finally, a little wild card! A fun leopard print sweater knit. I thought this would be fun in a vogue pattern I’ve had forever that I could wear with jeans or with my knit pencil skirt. Probably going to make this one first, stay tuned!

Check out Destashify for fabric and if you’re going to be clearing out and organizing your stash in the coming months, keep them in mind for selling your fabric. If you’d rather just donate it and not worry about making commission or don’t want to ship it yourself, Carey has a very easy way to do that to! Then you will know your fabric will live on with someone who appreciates it and not just end up in the landfill.

I hope if you’re in the states you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! If you’re shopping today, remember secondhand shops and small businesses!
