November is here and while I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by, I am looking forward to the cooler weather, holiday festivities, and the general hibernating and family time that comes around every year about this time. Currently we are…
Finally getting a picture as a family of five! I kind of love that the first time we are all together in a shot was for Halloween. (I’m just now noticing that Charlie and Chris have just about the exact same expression on their face)
Eating a lot of freezer meals. I resubscribed to Once a Month Meals and took a bit of time last week to stock up the freezer. It’s been so nice to just pull something out and have supper ready without much thought!
Watching The Voice with the kids, they love it so much, and Ozark without them. We also started watching Fargo again from the beginning, that show is so great.
Planning our weekly date nights. Chris and I are trying really hard to make sure we have a date night once a week. I think we’ve only missed one in the past two months, which is pretty great! Having three kids is… a lot… in a good way, but also it’s easy to not get to have a conversation with each other. I look forward to our dates all week!
Listening to some of the bands we got to see last month, Odesza and Bob Moses. They are our ‘cleaning up the kitchen’ music. So cool I know, I’m sure it’s what they envisioned when they recorded their music.
Playing with Sam! He is 6 weeks old and all of a sudden is so alert and active. We’re getting to learn his facial expressions and seeing his little personality come through.
Reading by way of audio books. I tried to start a couple of books but there is just not much time when my hands are free and I wouldn’t rather be sleeping. So I started playing audio books throughout the day and sometimes while I’m nursing. Right now I’m listening to My Dear Hamilton: A Novel of Elizabeth Hamilton by Laura Kamoie and Stephanie Dray.
Laughing our way through the hard stuff and trying to remember that these are the days that we will look back on and smile and wonder “where did the time go?”
Happy November everyone!
